Buffalo Boys

A pair of Indonesian princes raised in the American West return to Dutch occupied Java to avenge the death of their father. The action is a decent mix of gun slinging and sword swinging, with a generous helping of gore. Sadly the action is not as plentiful as one might hope, leaving long passages of film to be carried by some pretty poorly written drama further hampered by weak acting. It's probably not going to be really satisfying for fans of Westerns or Indonesian action cinema.

Very entertaining for a western set in Indonesia.

Pretty good action though given some of the other movies in this genre that come out of Indonesia it's rather pedestrian. It's fun, has a little bit of emotional depth. Doesn't go above and beyond in any shape or form.
