George Raft plays George Raft in the 1942 remake of Broadway (1929), claimed to be the semi-autobiographical story of George Raft. True or not, it plays into Raft's legacy as someone saved from the underworld by dancing. And you get a few samples of the styles he could perform. Be it snap-happy moves to the passionate tango. The story lacks a little of that same passion, as it feels a little standard by Hollywood standards. Still, putting Raft in this was a cool touch.
