Bright Eyes

I'd never imagined myself falling in love with these old Shirley Temple movies. They are adorable. And this one is the best one yet. Uses all the tricks in the book to create sympathy for poor little Shirley and it's a all-round well crafted feel-good family movie! From that young bully Jane Withers and her snobby parents, to the mean old softy Charles Sellon and of course her closest friend in aviator James Dunn. All doing a fine job to make this a excellent tearjerker.
