One of those old exotic pictures where half of it is a travelogue and the other is a bullshit fictional story. This one takes place in the Philippines and we get to meet the locals and life around the sea. And then there is the girl who is promised to someone else, but runs away with her lover and is punished for it. There has been made much more amusing films in this dubious genre then Brides of Sulu.
