Boyhood

A piece of life as a boy and his family tries to adjust to a new location because of the war. I don't know why, but I got a Soviet vibe from this. Regardless of Keisuke Kinoshita approach, the characters are clear and well captured, but the story is lacking to really hit home. We get a lot of time getting to know them, but it doesn't pan out into anything specific. Just another day of adjusting, like life itself. Perhaps that's the appeal.
