Tries too hard to create an emotional connection with the old couple and the adopted kids making everything feels forced. Even the comic moments. On the flip side Charles Ruggles is good and right at home at these type of silly roles. Mary Boland too, though she didn't get to shine to her best ability here. So a decent programmer which tries to blend the dramatic and funny aspects of family life.
