Boxing Leo Gorcey and stray Bobby Jordan make this a okay entry in the East Side Kids film series. Nothing deep or anything, but at least they triggered a positive message in it's simplistic tongue. Bowery Blitzkrieg (1941) randomly ended up being Warren Hull's last film too. A cheerful actor of the one-dimensional kind which was effective playing straight forward B-movies. The best thing he did was the The Spider's Web (1938) and The Spider Returns (1941) serials.

On recommendation from the Pure Cinema Podcast, this was a good first entry to the East Side Kids for me. Simple story, likeable characters, redemption arc. Fav scene: "Hey, you mean Danny needs blood? Well, why waste time? I'm FULL of blood."
