Top badass moment? Realising that like culottes, flares and peddle-pushers, legwarmers (or baggy socks like them) have as much sex appeal as a wasps’ nest. Well that was all a bit soulless, although I think I slept through a lot if it; (blame the nice bottle of red). Some girls go around trying to get money off some guys, all of whom are weirdly sleazy, weedy and one-dimensional. It's just not very thrilling, exciting, sexy, suspenseful, funny or interesting. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

An "issue" movie, kind of like _I Just Didn't Do It_, but without the one-track mind. There isn't enough narrative tension, even with the deadline gimmick. Things get ugly, but not really ugly. The three friends' dealings with the Yakuza seems very oddly written. It's hard to know what to make of it.
