Fascinating, unsentimental (and refreshingly non-judgmental) look at a junkie's life in early-70's NYC. Try not to be put off by the grainy image and lousy lighting... there's something real at the core, especially in the scenes between George Segal and Karen Black. Good, understated performances all around.
