Bordertown Trail

For a brief period Smiley Burnette actually got a much deserved top billing in a series of westerns. He still plays the comic sidekick part, and the only different is that the cowboy hero is less upfront. Here being newcomer Sunset Carson learning the trade. That meant less action, but an attempt at more dialogue driven plot. Wasn't totally captivated, but I appreciate the attempt.
