Possibly Martin Lawrence's finest performance. I have no idea what I'm basing that on, but there you go.

Painful, shameful, laughless "comedy". So basically, just like everything else Martin Lawrence has ever done. Chappelle pops up randomly a couple times and does his best to milk some laughs, but the movie is just brutally bad. I watched it for free on television and still felt ripped off afterward.

I would be able to handle the implausibility of the movie if it were as funny as its cast says it should be. However, it just doesn't come together at all.

If you've already seen one Martin Lawrence film, then you already know exactly what this movie is going to be. Briskly-paced enough to be watchable, but mostly not very funny, with homophobic and ableist humour scattered throughout. Killer soundtrack though, I totally would cruise around LA blasting that 90s R&B.

Luke Wilson and Martin Lawrence star in this action comedy movie. Lawrence plays a thief who stashes a diamond that he stole in an abandoned building and must retrieve it after he is released from prison. This movie is fun. The script and acting isn't great but it is serviceable for this kind of movie. I've seen this movie a handful of times and it generally stands the test of time. Martin Lawrence is basically playing the same character as he did in Bad Boys but with some Big Mamma thown in too

Martin Lawrence plays jewel thief Miles Logan in this comedy film. After stealing a huge diamond, Miles is double-crossed by his partner in crime (Peter Greene) and busted at the scene. In a panic, he hides the rock in an air-conditioning vent in a nearby building under construction. 2years later, after paying his debt to society he returns. But the building now completed is the Los Angeles Police Department. The rest of the film has Lawrence trying desperately to steal back his stolen diamond.

The story is incredibly stupid, but it's consistently funny. Not funny in a gut-busting way but you'll be chuckling a lot. There is one scene that I find hilarious and still look back on very fondly (smashing face into steering wheel).

Walked into the end of this by mistake (wrong screen) - didn't realise my mistake for 5 minutes because it's so amateurish I assumed it was some edgy (ie sweary) advert for some "lad" product. Absolutely abysmal.

You know how Eddie Murphy used to be funny, but now he generally isn't? Yeah, Martin Lawrence never was. This is a bad Eddie Murphy movie with someone else doing the Murphy role. Kind of a bad Beverly Hills Cop. The supporting cast is fine, and with either Murphy or Will Smith in the lead this could have been a good movie. Hell, make Dave Chapelle the main guy cause he was great in this....

Martin Lawrence has never heard of the word subtlety, and even if he has, he's never employed it. His prefers to wield comedy like a sledgehammer. That being said, as a mashup between an mistaken identity farce and a buddy-cop action comedy, there are some fun moments.

Martin Lawrence going "Look at me, i'm stereotypically black!" for an hour and a half and looking like a car coming down the road with both doors open. Wonder if he can flap them?
