Bloody Birthday

Three of the kids from Village of the Damned do their best Damien and make the town folk wonder, Who Can Kill a Child? Just like Michael Myers they spy on girls changing, and What the Peeper Saw led these Bad Seeds to terrify old ladies like The Other. I'm clearly running out of steam here but I want to reference that kid from Jerry Maguire. I hate that kid.

Pretty standard "town terrorized by psycho killer who eventually traps the final girl in a house" type flick, made exceptional by the fact that the psycho killers are a trio of amoral 10 year olds. There's some hokum astrology half-explanation for their behavior, but mostly it's just fun watching kids stalk and murder adults. The kids are appropriately creepy and innocent in equal doses, there's plenty of gratuitous nudity and it's got some novel kills. A quality film.

A quaint little movie about a trio of psychopathic killer children that delivers on the promise of creepy kids and cheap kills. Worth the watch for fans of low-rent "creepy kids" horror movies.

You know what's scarier than any monster? An armed child with unchecked white male privilege good lord. ?Finale is weak as hell after 80 minutes of yabbos and piercing friday the 13thesque strings. I'm not one for killing children but...I am going to be haunted forever by the birthday party clown with the "I can't say no" shirt - it's like the parents accidentally hired a bachelorette party clown but the guy is such a professional

Harsh 80's vibe with genuinely creepy kids. If you were hoping for anything more, you're dumber than the movie.

The film rightly abandons its half-baked Zodiacal mystic explanation for its trio of pubescent psychotics - ultimately, they are just depraved for kicks. That angle works. It adds a gritty immediacy to the awfulness of it all, and the kid actors are good enough to keep it plausible.

Chesty tale of peeping murdering star-aligned ragamuffins from not-so-reformed softcore maestro Ed Hunt offers few surprises but plenty of sick kicks (including some interesting wardrobe choices for "little angelface"). Coulda been more: Timmy's garbage dump fridge escape is a terrific sequence and really endears you to the tough little bastard, but he's given short shrift for flabby filler. Kool killz.

This was clearly better than "The Children"; another early 80’s killer kids flick that I saw recently. Competently directed, there's plenty of kills and they have enough variety to keep you entertained for the 85mins. For once, the casting of the kids is spot on and they are suitably creepy - while Lori Lethin is likeable as the girl next door. Nothing special, but I enjoyed it much more than I expected and I'm a bit suprised it's not better known among slasher/80's horror fans.

Such a fun concept for such a wildly unimaginative movie.

Somehow missed this one back in the early 80s. It's OK but I probably won't go back.

Very fun and gripping, thanks to the oh-so-slashery tension between cleanliness and filth.

The acting is really bad but the premise makes up for it.

Featuring solid performances, particularly from the child actors considering what they had to do, as well as fine effects & some inventive deaths, it unfortunately suffers from extremely flat characters, sluggish pacing, and more than one completely pointless scene that adds nothing to the story. These are all effects of a messy script, which is ultimately the biggest flaw here. It's enjoyable if taken for the unabashedly silly movie that it is, but it's nothing special.

more entertaining than alot of movies out there despite how bad it is.
