Director Alfred Rizzo uses sex, murder, vampires and lesbians to keep this murder mystery afloat. Set in Ireland in 1902 but filmed in Italy, Bloodsucker stars Giacomo Rossi Stuart as Count Marnak and Patrizia De Rossi as Evelyn, a member of a visiting theater troupe. When the two begin a steamy affair, it's all fun and games until somebody loses a head. How many killings will have to take place before the murderer is discovered?

Most false leading title I've seen in a while; no vampires in sight. I've seen it labeled as a Giallo, but it's closer to a Gothic horror and a weak one at that. The castle and it's surroundings are OK, but everything else is lackluster from acting to direction. It's like a soap opera with lots of tits and little horror/gore - frustrating combo. English dub is also very bad, but I doubt it would improve much with Italian soundtrack. Only actor I recognized was Luciano Pigozzi aka Alan Collins.
