Maniac 3. Joe Spinell would’ve thrived in a role like this if you take away him having a loving family, a stable non seedy job , and uhhh. Stop trying to seduce me with flashly lights and synth movies!

not so good

The trash horror version of Hereditary. You know for those that don't need to say "pretty good for a horror movie"

Despite being stolen from a better TV show, the premise here is minimally interesting, and Scott plays his part well, but it pretty rapidly descends into repetition, and it's ferociously uninteresting. It would take a lot to save this in the last act, once the cops are involved, but there's just not enough there.

Does something mildly interesting with its (not wholly successful) attempt to create moral discomfort or murkiness, but it's not really the first or the last script with that misguided-vigilante-that-you're-meant-to-root-for-at-first premise, and certainly not the best of them. The main thing that kept me watching is waiting to see where they're taking it, but there isn't a lot of wisdom or enjoyment to be had.

It takes a while to fully dive deep into the thriller aspects of the story and it really one does a shallow dive. Seann William Scott does his best to make it a believable and plausible story but it never quite attains that level of brilliance. It's passable in every aspect but not a stand out. I did like the small twist near the end involving the wife but that was about it.

Didn't really enjoy this one. Crime and Horror doesn't fit all that well with me.

Idk if I can really say it's good, but I was entertained.

Opens with the slaughter of a nurse almost anachronistic in its graphic violence, nudity, and voyeurism; then: an equally graphic close-up of a realistic birth. It has the courage of its convictions, it is saying, as it jabs you a little. The messy details of ending life, and creating it, and nurturing it--a funny frothy mix sometimes, you see. The resolution is unconventional in some ways and very conventional in others, and the film has fun with that, but it's all a little cute and airless

Clearly indebted to films like Drive, but manages to succeed on its own merits through the great kills and I'll admit I'm mostly a sucker for neon synth horror shit.
