Blondie Plays Cupid

It seems ridiculous to talk of any of these Blondie films being better or worse than any other ones. They are so much like television that they were literally turned into a TV series in the 1950's. Still ... the first half of this one is so irritatingly awful that it is barely compensated for by a glimpse of an indescribably young Ford.

A formalistic comedy centered around the fireworks and young love. Lots of slapstick and some interesting dog tricks.

The Bumsteads aid a young Glenn Ford with his love life using a combination of country life and firecrackers! Sporadic laughs, but not the funniest of Blondies. At least you do get your share of parenting advice.... mostly how not to do things.
