The Bumsteads, a spooky house, a psychopathic butler and the most scared looking black guy in Hollywood.... and you got a good recipe for some crazy stupidity! I don't really need to say anything more. If you have an idea what Blondie is about, then you can imagine the silliness Blondie Has Servant Trouble (1940) will bring.

One YouTube commenter said "I enjoy these movies. a simpler time. its great nothing dirty like today's shows!," but if calling a grown man "the boy" for the entire film because of the color his skin isn't dirty, I don't know what is. Cheap, pat entertainment collapsed under a machine gun baggage of constant low-key racism, even by the standards of its time.
