Bliss

Saw this a year ago and have no memory how it ended. That’s usually an indicator of a very mid-tier movie. Intriguing premise. Almost like a Matrix spinoff. Not enticing enough for me to watch again to refresh my memory on the ending.

I liked this one, but don't look for an explanation or ending that ties up loose ends. Sci-fi action/drama.

An interesting take on drug addiction, and how one's view of reality can be altered by substance abuse. *********SPOILERS************As much as the film tries to imply that different realities exist, the ending makes it clear that it was all in his head. Drugs are baaaaad....mmmmkay!

It's more of a miss.

Entertaining but the story feels not even half baked. It's a shame because the premise was interesting. My guess is : Cahill is just missing some Brit Marling magic

bad movie

Lacks pretty much everything that made Another Earth a surprisingly good indie sci-fi flick. Wilson is decent, but the story misses more than it hits. There's a bit of intrigue here about a simulated reality vs reality, and it touches briefly on some themes like bliss, but it largely tells its story without the same cleverness that Another Earty had, and doesn't explore its themes with much depth. The worlds created aren't interesting either, though some visuals are nice.

Didn't quite work for me, though I wasn't bored. Too earnest and humourless, despite its moments of whimsy.
