An interesting hybrid: a noir comedy (at least in the middle section). Summerfield is an absolute standout as the redoubtable Maggie Doone. An awful lot of twists, even for one of these things...but it's a great deal of fun regardless.

A British noir film that is very meh. It isn't terrible, but not really worth watching really either. The plot starts out interesting, but becomes too convoluted and ill-presented for its own good.

A British noir that starts out well but quickly loses its way. Dane Clark and Belinda Lee are attractive as the leads, but the real standout is Eleanor Summerfield--the British Eve Arden--as artist and dependable gal pal Maggie Doone.
