Sort of like a miniature I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932), except with Edward G. Robinson and a lot more flames! Gene Lockhart was a wonderful little sneak too! The chain gang stuff didn't capture the same hardship as other chain gang films, but both events leading up to the capture and what came after made up for the shortcomings of the middle part.
