Started out well enough, with some natural dialogue between the three leads, but then quickly turns into pure horror/thriller cliched shit. Seen it all a million times before (although now with extra boob jangling!) Antagonists are lame as shit.

"I HAVE CANCER! It BETTER make you two all happy with each other. LOL JK I don't have cancer but YAY CAMPING!" Now we meet the guys who will likely try to rape you soon! You could run, but nope, makeout time. Now it's Lord of the Flies. NAKED Lord of the Flies! I want to be mad over the stupid characters with pigeon-holed conflicts that you don't care about. Every so often there's a good line but on the whole, I don't buy these characters, relationships, or dialogues at all. Boring AND terrible.

It's actually a pretty well-made and nice-looking film, it's just that the premise (and characters) is so repeatedly flat-out stupid, it really spoils any possible enjoyment. Doesn't really meet the entry requirements for horror, action, survival, or feminist movie genres, despite trying to be a little bit of each. File under: "how to do ALL the wrong things in an unrealistic horror movie scenario and still win".

Kind of boring if you have watched a couple of similar films.

A familiar narrative, but better done, better acted and written, than one usually finds. A bit smarter and, because the characters don't seem like so many horror film cliches, somewhat more effective.

Seemingly wimped out of some 'burn your bras and we can achieve anything' message then perished between too silly to be realistic but too straight for 'sploitation fun. [df]

What the hell Mark Duplass? You can do better than this. The only moment of tension in the thing was whether or not I'd get a good shot of Kathryn Aselton's boobs in the low light

Not a great film, but it's wonderful to see a film deal with the subject of rape in this manner.

Serviceable. There are numerous script problems, even a hokey moment or two, and I wouldn't rank this among Mark Duplass' finer works, but generally speaking he does ensure a quality of dialogue rarely seen in films of this genre. His wife Kathryn Aselton tackles the acting-directing combo respectably, evidenced by a crescendo of tension and nice nail-biting climax. The musical soundtrack is overly utilized, I felt.

Katie.A and Kate.B are doing quite well; the other gal and the script from Duplass...not so much. Adequate directing from Aselton as well, and finally her MrSkin-rating increased...boobs rock! *Preview*: #13#, exp-3*, popcorn, story, writer Duplass/1, director Aselton/1, Katie.A/7-4, (Kate.B/6-3), R2.

Not nearly as good as I was hoping. A lot of running around in the woods and luckily no shaky-cam. The writing is pretty good from Mark Duplass and the direction is also pretty good from Kathryn Aselton (she also did a fine acting job). The scenario is also not very far fetched. The movie just wasn't very entertaining which in my book is an almost failure. It did have a nice Lord of the Flies feel to it. Nothing like three beautiful girls throwing down with some ex-military guys.

I love me some Kathryn Aselton, but this movie blows. Aselton & Bosworth are nice to look at, but that's the extent of what this movie has to offer

Lean and pretty tense, with above average performances and dialogue for this sort of thing. Nicely shot, too.

I don't mean this in a condescending way--but I didn't know Katie Aselton had it in her. This movie's tough, brutal, tense, uncompromising. The camera's way up tight, watching impassively as these three women go through the emotional ringer--terror, dread, rage. And the dialogue, plot and action are all stripped down to their bare bones, making for a fast-paced, fluid, notably lean old-school action thriller in the 80's "wilderness horror" vein.

had some solid scenarios and good performances. was pretty retarded, though. all the "action" and basically every bit of direction that didn't involve dialogue... :/
