I think I only watched this because it was directed by the guy who made Flash Gordon and Get Carter, so I knew he was versatile at least. This is actually a pretty tidy little supernatural thriller, with a solid central premise and a good cast - hadn't seen Arquette in much before, but she acquits herself well here. I liked the drab urban settings as well. It perhaps suffers from a lack of scale and the ending isn't wholly satisfactory, but this probably deserves to be better known.

This movie should be more well known. Excellent film that crosses multiple genres and themes. Great job by all three stars, Rosanna Arquette, Jason Robards and Tom Hulce.

This underseen supranatural thriller was a pleasant surprise. It has a unnecessary framing device, by having a reporter looking back at the events. A side plot about the hired killer on route to kill of the protagonists distracts from the main story line. But the bulk of the story focusing on the father and daughter dynamic is well written, paced and acted. Hodge makes perfect use of the Southern America setting of the story.

An offbeat little sleeper.

Somewhere in between Leap of Faith and Angel Heart, which is a space I didn't even know existed. This is a quality production with a story that could be tightened a bit but ultimately satisfies those of us with proper expectations. If you me showed this movie and asked me ten minutes after it finished whether or not Tom Hulce had ever played a leading man, I'd say no.

This film is just awful with a story that is predictable and pacing that is all over the place. The only redeeming factor for me was Rosanna Arquette who gives a wonderful person as a medium who can see murders before they happen. Skip this garbage.

Different, but not very much about which to get excited
