Black Fury

"Black Fury" has a strong story with a moral to deliver, but the ending is typical and a disservice to the rest of the story. The accent done by the lead actor is distracting and hurts the film.

A heated coal miners battle between the workers, unions and owners. The loudest voice was Paul Muni as Polish immigrant who gets pushed right in the middle of the politics. Muni's acting was a bit much and the story wasn't always exciting, but it hits hard and there was no doubt that this was a solid and well written drama. The end however felt like it was just slapped on there to have a typical "Hollywood ending" and came a little bit too simple to fit the headship of the rest of the film.
