This is one of my all time favorite zombie movies. It does everything right. Great comedy...check, fun cast... check, serious and emotional... check, and the all important downbeat ending...double check. This movie is the reason I tracked down all the Sam Lee and Jordan Chan movies I could find.

Pretty much the definition of cheap and cheerful. Interminable in the first half setup but has some effective moments when the action gets going. Fans of campy movies will probably add 15 points. The final scene elevates this from run of the mill...."60" is justified, "not good" is incorrect

A couple of idiotic hustlers inadvertently cause a zombie outbreak inside a shopping center in this Hong Kong splatter comedy. The gore effects are pretty cheap, none of the comedy is very funny, and it takes way too long to get going...but it has some cute girls and a really black ending that flies in the face of the campy tone used throughout the rest of the movie, which was nice.

I rarely say this about zombie movies, but this one manages to be entertaining before the zombies show up.

After a while, when the actors are starting to annoy and the plot is showing no signs of becoming interesting whatsoever, you'll check to see how much time there is left and realize you still have more than an hour to go. Unappealing and bland all-over. I really can't understand all the high scores. At least I used the remaining time better by levelling some of my Pokemon and oh god why did I just admit to that.

A not subtle spoof of contemporary youth culture wrapped in a zombie movie. Thoroughly enjoyable, and the two main protagonists keep it interesting and funny throughout. The videogame allusions were definitely high points. Not a bad companion piece to Shaun of the Dead.

Pretty entertaining, and without any pretensions to being anything else.

Way too hysterical for my taste.

Passes the time, but it's a bit too stupid and gets a bit boring at times. Has a few bloody scenes, but not enough. I really liked the ending though.

okay characters , drags oppressively until the zombies kick in. once there though, it's a decent romp.

i'm pretty sure that this movie wasn't intentionally funny, and to me i didn't laugh at all, but it was a fresh zombie flick for a world where zombie movies are anything but fresh.

So it's basically zombies running amok in a mall; where have I seen this before. But as the story runs its cheap, campy course, the film suddenly takes a remarkably dark and tragic turn, and out of nowhere there's a handful of genuinely poignant scenes capped off by a thought-provoking ending. WTF!? This turned out to be highly worthwhile on sheer "huh" factor.

A genuinly funny movie with some good effects. I'd compare it to Shaun of the Dead, only with relatively smarter zombies and less British humor.
