Big Top Pee-wee

Does not approach the greatness of PEE-WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE, but it's still amusing for Pee-wee fans. Oh, and Pee-wee gets laid in this one, er, yeah.

What everyone else said: This is no Pee Wee's Big Adventure, but it's good enough.

The original is a classic. I went 36 years with having never seen this movie and I probably could have gone the rest of my life without. There were some funny bits here and there but overall it just isn't that entertaining. I was hoping for some moment where this movie would connect to the first movie. How did Pee-Wee end up on this farm? I'm not sure that the Footloose style story is enough for this movie to stand on it's own. It needed something else. Don't waste your time on this one.

It's Pee Wee, but with nothing that made "Big Adventure" and "Playhouse" great!

Pee-wee's always funny, but Randal Kleiser doesn't know what to do with him.

It's not as good as Big Adventure but just to have another Pee Wee feature film was incredible!

For those of you that didn't find the first installment weird or creepy enough, this sequel should satisfy. It's not as good as the first one in terms of quality or story, but it's not bad.

Missing the first films charm, and some of this is downright creepy.

Saw it in the theaters when I was seven, hated it. Saw it on videotape when I was 13, still hated it. Saw it on cable as an adult, yup, hated it. I like Paul Reubens and his Pee-Wee character a lot to this day, I just get the feeling that he was way over his head making this one. No, I don't think Tim Burton directing would have mattered.

While a classic from my childhood, that I watched over and over and over again as a kid, I'm not sure if this has an audience today.

It's funny, it's crazy, it's weird, it's a Burton.

Loses points for taking us out of Pee Wee's normally insane world as we follow him hanging out with a a bunch of stranded circus freaks. You're left with a pretty average comedy lacking both the quality and quantity of gags seen in the first movie.

Another shit. It is not funny, is irritating.

An enjoyable boy's fantasy, well-realized with some real charm. Call it a guilty pleasure . . . but I certainly wish that Paul Ruebens could succeed in his efforts to pull another Pee Wee movie together.

Kind of a poor choice for Reubens.

Mediocre. Tim Burton, director of "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure", is sorely missed here.
