Anti-drug afterschool special with a picket fence agenda in the shape of a young, modern and cool coming of age movie. Weirdly enough... it works.

This one is two out of two wins for Davidson, who's yet to show any real versatility, but is absurdly talented at what he does. While I was pretty engrossed for the whole movie, I couldn't help but feel let down by how little personal growth is shown in this coming-of-age movie. The good news is that it'll probably take me a decade of watching Davidson do his schtick before I grow tired of it.

I totally understand if Pete Davidson makes some people cringe. It makes sense. I find him pretty funny in his self-deprecating-kind-of-way. This story isn't necessary anything new in the coming of age genre, but it does feel pretty honest when it comes to topics like self-image and peer pressure. There are several laughs and some pretty poignant dialogue. I dug it.

A beautiful coming of age tale that couldn't be more real. I think back to a lot of stories like this that I watched when I was at the age when these movies should have spoken to me and none of them had as much heart and moral guidance as this film. I love that the family knows that they can't control the boys life and he needs to make his own mistakes. Yet, you can see their love at every step. The acceptance of the main character is gut wrenching. I've lived that life. I was the boy and Pete.

I'll be dissecting this one for a while. This film made me cringe as I can relate much too well with Zeke, Pete Davidson's loser character. While it's very funny at times, and overall very well written and directed, it left me feeling very depressed for all the fuck-ups and losers who'll never figure it out. I guess it would have been kind of nice to see a bit more hope in there somewhere. In the end Zeke is reduced to nothing more than a mistake, which I found disappointing and disheartening.

Yaşınızdan büyük, abi dediğiniz adam kankanız olursa. Ablasının eski sevgilisiyle kanka olan genç, yaşı büyüdükçe torbacı olur. Çok iyi aforizmalar var. Filmdeki bilgeliğe bayıldım. Ama kötü örnek filmi aşağıya çekiyor. Cesaret çok normal görünmüş. Filmin sonu da, filmin açılış sahnesi. Sıkıntılı film. Ayrılık olsa da yollar kesişiyor. Unutulmuş birer birer eski dostlar. Unutulmaz yaşadığımız unutulmaz.

For some reason I found this really light and enjoyable. Nothing groundbreaking, but just watching the kid hang out with Pete and MGK was fun enough, even though his parents are totally right (and strangely, not as forceful as you’d expect).

Normally I can't stand Pete "Give Me 64 Chances In Showbusiness and I'll Blow It Every time!" Davidson but he was good in this, possibly because he IS that character

I actuallly had fun with this movie. I wasn't expecting it to be good at all. I thought the acting was pretty good and it did a good job of telling this story. Nice little coming of age sorta thing. Pete Davidson bringing his charaisma in the first lead role I've seen him in does very well. Jon Cryer was also a bit of a surprise. Might be the only movie where I've enjoyed the prescense of Machine Gun Kelly. Enjoyed the humor as well.

It's fine all across the board but doesn't do a whole lot to separate itself in the coming-of-age genre. It's not as funny as some, nor as emotional as others; it exists in this in-between space where I can't think of anything substantial to criticize it about but I also can't think of anything to deride it for. Sure, it could be funnier since it's a comedy but it was still entertaining even if the laughs didn't always hit.
