Beyond the Door III

I saw this as "Amok Train", seemingly having nowt to do with the first two Beyond the Door films (which I now feel compelled to check out). This is objectively naff, but gets by on the strength of a lunatic premise and some shoddy, brutal deaths. The acting is okay; Svenson's hammy turn is probably a highlight. The effects are laughable and the whole thing is a bit daft, but this somehow remains a fun slice of schlock.

Murder Train would be a neat album name. The kills in this movie are outrageous, there's a flute playing monk and a cool train worker that is more interesting than the main final girl. Kinda runs out of energy in the last act, oh well.

This is...terrible. The opening sets up something promising, but not even ten minutes in things turn to complete nonsense & the plot never recovers. The story, which is near impossible to comprehend thanks to terrible editing & writing, has something to do with devil worship & biblical references, but also there's this evil train that's killing people. For some reason. At least the first two movies in this shit franchise had some unintentional humor- this is just awful, boring garbage.
