Cheerfully silly war movie feels like a throwback to the star WWII vehicles of the 50s and 60s - the difference being that the older films took some time to show a modicum of respect to historical accuracy, and period settings, décor and dialogue. Still very watchable, and seeing Hauer anywhere is always a delight, but the film never rises above middling Friday night television.
