Beware of Mr. Baker

Well, fuck this cunt.

A good documentary about one of the best rock drummers of all time, hell he helped build the archetype for rock drummers. He is also a dick,and crazy. So this makes it pretty entertaining.

A documentary about an interesting, terrible person. My only issue is something not touched on by any review of the film (I searched!): while I am aware the film is solely about Baker's life, it curiously lacks any possible critique of him in terms of his fetishization of "African" music. The film continually uses an animation of Baker on a slave ship, pounding out the rhythm of Africa, and it feels all...umm, problematic?

The guy is a virtuoso. The guy is completely out of his flipping mind.

Good documentary about an extraordinary man.

This documentary is golden, about one of the most influential drummers of all time, Ginger Baker. Apart from painting an interesting portrait, it's damn entertaining due to his colorful character, sense of humor and heavy cynicism. Must watch for jazz/rock/Cream enthusiasts.
