Beuys

Beuys is probably the most significant artist of the second half of the twentieth century, which is to say that his work opens questions and perspectives that are just as relevant now as they were at the time, which really means that we need a critique of Beuys in order to make possible what he constantly called for: a reinvented, extended art as social sculpture. This documentary presents a good overview, and at times takes an interesting approach: being suggestive without being explicit.

Before this documentary I didnt' appreciate Beuys as an artist. I do now.
