I tried 3 times.... but this Yakov Protazanov movie struggled to keep my interest. Slapstick, adding a few awkward musical scenes and out of place tragedy. Sure, there are amusing characteristics and situations that can bring the smile. But for it it was so incredibly uneven that I didn't know what to make of it.
