so glad they gave the show a real ending with this. other 2 just meh. i felt like this actually did some things better, like was the princess even involved with helping them get griffith in the show? and this has the most hardcore sex scene i've ever seen in an anime lmao i blushed like sorry guys i didnt expect to be watching you do this. then the most fucked up sex scene. and this makes me have to watch the sequel show that unfortunately has a bad reception lol. rated higher but show better

It's about time we get decent anime adaptations of the Berserk manga. I remember how impactful this was when I read it for the first time, all those years ago. I didn't get the same impact in the anime, but it was still a bit sickening to watch it all happen.

The final movie suffers the most from the fast pace of the first movie and the missing characterization of any member of the Band of Hawk beside our three protagonists. And Griffiths transformation into a God Hand is not quite as impactful as reading it for the first time. The CGI monsters certainly don't help...

descent into utter chaos

By this point, the animation has achieved its ideal look. I think the movie has a better representation of the in-between world than the 90s anime. As well, it goes a little farther into the story than where the 90s anime stops. If only the 2016 anime series looked as good as this movie.

OK, shit got weird. The trilogy takes a dark, weird turn at this point. The movie is balls to the wall over the top with gore and nudity. Horrific scenes left me emotionally finished. This was a solid end to the trilogy and a solid dark film

Once again some gorgeous visuals and it was great seeing some additional animation not shown in the series but the Advent portion of this film just didn't carry the same weight, chaos or despair that the final episode of the series managed to exude. Extra points for having The Skull King, my second favorite character from the manga in this. In the series my favorite characters were Casca and Guts.

Now.. the real hell starts ;) This is the sick part of Berserk. Yeah, very sick part... Not one for the kids and actually pretty sad :( an introduction to the God Hand and the many trials that await 'Gatts', our hero.. Trust and betrayal, kind of reminds me of GunGrave.

What started out as a Fire Emblem type of fantasy-army-storyline turns into something incredibly dark in this third installment. Trippy scenes, gorgeous backgrounds, horrific scenes of carnage and an ending that left me both emotionally drained and drooling for more.
