A shallow story, basically about an insane guy killing mostly young girls. He abducts a young boy, unable to feel pain, and attempts to mentor him. They offer a lame explanation for his madness. This is little more than a brainless scream fest. Lots of gore, and one or two scary scenes, but mostly idiotic, pointless and unconvincing. Also, the surprise ending was absolutely no surprise at all.

This story's got a lot of potential. We sure were in Skinner box; the link to Psycho was evident. I liked the color world and the girl, Alexandra Daddario, suited nicely in the flow. More original story and studying the mind of the killer deeper would make no harm.

Not so good

Stupid horror movie. One of those that you can sit with some friends and have fun jabbing. It obviously owes a lot to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", right down to the use of a bovine skull. It tried to have a story, but it wasn't very clear (and not in the complex way). I don't know what's the bigger issue: the fact that the protagonist, Allison, is caught by a serial killer or the fact that she's cursed to always go jogging without a bra.

Straightforward slasher that does exactly what the audience wants, slash.

A good story, interesting.
