Technowulf is pretty wonderful on a shitty level. Gotta love the medieval techno that's used all the time, it fits the movie so well. If you enjoy stupid shit, you might enjoy this.

Now it's been some time since my high school English class, but I feel pretty safe saying this film took more than just some "artistic" liberties with its sci-fi "adaptation" of the famous 6th century poem. Whatever, weird idea for an adaptation aside, in the end, it simply is just a terrible swords and sorcery fantasy B-movie. Christopher Lambert stars as not-"Blade"(1998) backfliping his way toward fighting evil, and into Rhona Mitra's cleavage, all to the sounds of raving 90's techno music.

So terrible to be amusing at points (though not quite as funny as 'Beowulf & Grendel'), filled with grating electronica and gratuitous backflips. I'm not sure Lambert has the ability to inflect his voice judging by this film.

i give it 1 point because randomly in the middle of it i had a sense of nostalgia to being a kid watching terrible scifi bmovie crap like this on saturday afternoons. then i realized that even those movies were all better than this turd.

A cyber-steam-whatever-the-fuck-punk adaptation of Beowulf that is so audaciously trashy that I can't help but love it. Pretty much everything that can go wrong does and you will undoubtedly be laughing your ass off while bashing your head against the nearest hard surface.

My SCORING: 99-96=Great; 95-90=Very good; 89-85=Good; 84-80=So-so; 79-70=Boring; Below 70=Forget it. This is a waste of time.

Techno and classic literature; Beowulf is about the most European thing I've watched in a long time. I liked the fact that this was an update on the classic. I think Beowulf is an interesting story that can be told in many ways which is what I found most interesting in this movie. Lambert's dead acting style works well with a character like Beowulf. Some of the special effects were atrocious but that is probably due to this movie's budget. I would watch this again but I wouldn't tell others to.

Seriously under-rated gem. Filmed really well with a role that Lambert pulls off really well. It may not follow the literature to a 't', but don't forget that it's based on it, so who gives a fuck.

"A sci-fi update of the famous 6th Century poem." and it turns out that the movie is terrible. Who would have guessed?

The Bee Movie! Elevators, bodybags with zipper and all. Sure it's sci-fi and "anything" is accepted, but not in this kind of crap. Bad effects, bad acting, bad script, stupid and monotonous stunts. Five points for "dead man walking" idea.

We bet you'd hate it! That's exactly right. I really need to learn to read the back of the boxes. "Beowulf" is an excellent story, and it doesn't need a sci-fi remake. "13th Warrior" is a billion percent better movie based on a book influenced by "Beowulf."
