Being Mary Tyler Moore

Genial biographical portrait is fairly shallow and superficial, especially considering the TV (and movie) productions Moore was involved with – outside of “gee wasn’t that funny”, there’s little insight into what made Moore so individualistic and distinctive, perhaps a result of the proud declaration of director Adolphus being unfamiliar with her work – it definitely shows, and makes the film a little frustrating and long winded at times, especially as it marches towards the 2 hour mark.
