You'll never believe what this is about- Charles Grodin being sour about suddenly having a large dog in the house? Oh you're not even close baby. For some reason the army needs a crooked vet to have dogs dog napped so he can inject them with chemicals or shoot them in the fucking head with a giant magnum lmao, it's a kids movie you can just do a pure bred dog thief ring or whatever not go to this wild insane space - puppy after puppy shot point blank in the head. Don't forget the smoke stack hol

I’ll be honest; I think my reaction to my family suddenly bringing in an untrained St. Bernard would have been about the same as the dad here. Sorry, just not into the dogs where it’s like their perpetually wet mouths are a faucet of drool. That said I mean, look, it’s obviously super dumb but the dog seems fun. Pretty fun seeing Dean Jones just going full ham as the villain. But yeah obviously it’s a dumb big dog comedy for children.

The St. Bernard used in this film was female. This film isn't particularly memorable, just a run-of-the-mill watch.

St. Bernard's are cute dopey looking dogs, and that made me laugh a few times. I may have said this before, but the Tucc really got hotter when he went bald. I didn't realize how many of these scenes are seared into my brain. I am going to be in a nursing home singing, "Gitchie, gitchie, ya-ya, da-da" as I look out the window longingly waiting for my children to visit papa.

Colour me a sucker for "aww cute puppies!" - with a light, bouncy tone, a likable family (headed by Grodin's Steve Martin impression) and an overly anthropomorphised but endearing animal hero, this emerges as an unlikely winner; like many a 90s comedy, it is almost derailed by a superfluous crime subplot seemingly designed for some manufactured third act conflict, but as I wouldn't surrender Jones' deliriously campy and hissable villain for anything, I accept the good with the bad. Great fun.

I don't know what 15 means. This is the 3rd most watched film during the 1990's during in-flight entertainment on most major airlines. It comes in close with Mrs Doubtfire, Big and Miss Congeniality. Um has a timeless classical score.

It has it moments in which i chuckled and there was one where I laughed out loud, but that was about it. The two oldest kids were quite annoying while the little one was kind of cute. The story was pretty standard for a kids movie, and it is enjoyable for kids, but it is nothing special or even to go out of your way to watch. I've seen worse, but I've seen better.
