The Rob Schneider Project-day 27. The cultists have bathed me, changed my clothes. They left the curly wig on, but I barely notice. The constant pain has become a dull roar, my voice an inaudible rasp. So tired... Tired of resisting. On a screen of human skin, a movie is projected. Adam Sandler observes me silently. When I see the racist as shit Schneider cameo, I don't... I feel... nothing. I... am nothing. Nothing. Sandler kneels down, tears of happiness in his eyes. "Welcome back, Rob."

Schneider quest, film 27: Starting off the year right with a shitty Schneider quest movie. It's mostly unfunny Sandler, being unfunny and fucking annoying. Schneider is super racist. I realised that me and co sufferer Barthalen might end the Schneider quest this year. It's an emotional feeling. Will this quest enlighten us? Or completely make us crazy? I fear for the latter..

Bedtime Stories is a Christmas gift you won't want to unwrap or slightly tear in any way possible. This is a typical Adam Sandler comedy that's marketed in a PG form, to make parents think that it will be okay. WRONG! Hopefully you would prefer to enlighten yourself with something greater this holiday, like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and let this piece of crap rot in the ground, where mankind can never dig it back up again. Just terrible.

Fun little family movie though it loses it in the last 20 minutes and feels rushed.

This was a cute movie and the kids were adorable. I suspect that everyone who scored this movie poorly was expecting Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison-type antics, and instead got Adam Sandler playing... himself!

"Bedtime Stories" should be an easy sell for kids, and it should work too, but the story never quite makes it. Think Sandler's "Billy Madison" mixed up with something along "Princess Bride" without any of the romance, originality, laughs, or adventure. This thing just never works. It's often tacky, cheesy, and not even interesting for youngsters.

I was pleasantly suprized by this movie. I'm not an Adam Sandler fan, but his character was somewhat endearing and the person who wrote the script definitely has an out-there imagination.

Almost worth it for Schneider’s terrible and problematic cameo. Otherwise it’s acceptable kids guff.

rvw. it has flashes of the great sandler rom coms, and some cool rugrats type shit, but they lose most of their romantic chemistry when they start being friendly and the casper 2 ending demolition is meh. but it's still a cute and cool enough story

It's a cute movie with some funny moments. The idea of magical kids stories kind of coming true is an interesting concept, but one that kind of failed with the main character simply wanted to use it for selfish reasons and usually in completely the wrong way. Also the main romance just doesn't really work all that well. There are far worse movies out there, but there are far better as well.

I rated it a bit too high but the chase scene appearing to be a clumsy homage to Millennium Actress has to deserve some points.

In the words of a 13 year old on common sense media, because who better to judge an Adam Sandler movie, "Worst Sandler comedy ever." And why is Rob Schneider always doing brownface? Rob Schneider doing brownface is not ok. Someone should really let him know. Won't be Adam Sandler though because he's a racist asshole. Good reminder that casual racism is more family friendly than saying fuck.

Even as a children's movie, Sandler and writer Tim Herlihy's style of lowest common denominator humor waters down a simple kid's fantasy premise. If it's on cable and you need a digital baby sitter for 99 minutes you could do worse, but I would keep looking.

Not realising this one's squarely aimed at the pre-pubescent market, after ten minutes or so I was almost ready to call it quits. But I stuck it out, and in the end it's a pleasant enough flick that hits the right notes with its target audience, without being so overly cutesy, silly or irritating it completely alienates older viewers. I wouldn't choose to watch it again, but for what it is, it works. And Sandler's made many worse.

Suddenly, I'm thankful that my uncle never rehashed tales of his hard times at the engineering firm. I'm thankful he hadn't been thinking of himself when we shared story time. I am glad Sandler is thinking of his own young daughters and taking a step in the right direction by toning things down a bit. But with all due respect, most of the moms I know won't be giving him hugs anytime soon. (pluggedin.com)

Same Sandler humour and messages but toned down for kids. Not only a waste of an ok cast but they never push the concept far enough to be interesting.

Really pointless film honestly, that just seems that there is no real focus until later and by then you're probably asleep, and i've seen Kids watching it and even they were falling asleep. Child actors, Sandler, and Russel Brand just don't even seem to care. It seems to talk down to kids really.

Im not the biggest fan of Sandler's movies .and this would be a good example of why that is. Unfunny in so many places it hardly qualifies as a comedy. And what is with the guinea pig with the HUGE eyes? A must skip! If you want to see a great Sandler movie rent ,or better yet buy SPANGLISH.
