Bedevilled

Viewed March 3, 2021. A premise that fits within Mitchell Leisen's style, but little of the feeling or physicality I associate with him, all of it lost amidst the clunky Cinemascope frames and weird noir-melodrama hybrid style. The ending, where Steve Forrest absolves Anne Baxter for her sins, is pretty smart and effective.
