Becoming Bond

My problem with a few other documentaries, the re-enactments are a bit much. It’s enjoyable for bond fans, but I wonder how much runtime just the interview with Lazenby is. I think watching that would be just as fun.

If you remove all the dopey reenactments and rename the movie to something that has nothing to do with James Bond, there's actually a good story here. Too bad it takes an hour to get to the Bond part, which is the least compelling and well told portion of the whole film.

Borrows a little from Drunk History, but enjoyable.

An amusing tour into the early life (the vast majority of the "narrative" takes place before and up to the making of OHMSS, everything after is only lightly touched on) of the well-known one-time Bond George Lazenby. I can't imagine it holding huge interest to anyone except Bond fanboys like myself, but it amuses and interests for the duration of its quick runtime.

Doesn't become as awesome as I had hoped. They should have just sat down and had a few beers with the guy letting him tell his stories rather than do the reenactment stuff. The real deal was always the cool part. Focused too much on his pre-stardom relationship instead of telling more madness from his movie career and whatever else that rattles in that free spirit brain of his.
