Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Unnecessary and nonsensical "mid-quel" to the 1991 classic. The new characters are obnoxious, the animation is bad (including the CGI organ, WTF), and the songs are forgettable. Blech.

Certainly this doesn't fit in the Beauty and the Beast canon. The story is ridiculous and makes no sense, and the two main characters are made a complete mockery of... But aside from a few ear stabbers, the music is quite nice. So I can enjoy it a bit.

Don't be fooled by the promise of Tim Curry in yet another over-the-top role; this movie hurt me to watch... it hurt a lot. Lacking any of the charm of its predecessor, it features some truly awful songs, horrendous (and totally unnecessary) CGI and a downright stupid script that feels like it was written by someone who hadn't seen (or read) any version of Beauty & the Beast. Its only redeeming quality is the return of the original voice actors, but their talent just ends up feeling wasted here

It can be likable from time to time, but Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas is uneven, poorly written, and features some questionable use of CGI.

there is a song from this film i was so profoundly obsessed with for years, i would play it by ear on the piano every chance i could get. i cannot think of many films where a pipe organ is the antagonist, but this film left a young me antagonistic towards pipe organs. i've seen this film too many times.

One of many, nay, every direct-to-video Disney sequel of the 90's which should have never existed.

Nice to see the characters animated again and some songs are decent (but not memorable). The plot makes no sense and the CGI organ is very jarring.

Extra credit for featuring Tim Curry as an evil pipe organ. It's one of the best straight-to-video Disney sequels. I know that's not a high bar.

An inoffensive and somewhat likable tale set during a previous Disney movie as yet another cash-in on holidays and past successes. Do not expect any actual continuity even with references continually made to the original Beauty and the Beast.

This, like most Disney sequels, suffer from the same error, such as continuity.

I actually kinda like it, even though I know it doesn't fit anywhere in the Beauty and the Beast story. If you can enjoy the music and realize that it's not in the BatB "canon", you might be able to enjoy it as I do. But I do realize it's not very good...it butchers the two leads.

A new dress for Belle and one of the songs are kinda nice but that's pretty much all that's good about it. The whole movie just feels like mediocre or bad fan-fiction. Give this one a pass.
