Beau Ideal

This was pretty bad. Ralph Forbes repeating his role as John Geste in this talkie variation of Beau Geste which is close to as uninteresting as you can make a movie like this. Watch Beau Geste (1926) instead. It's silent, but much better. And that one also features William Powell, Ronald Colman and Neil Hamilton to make the experience fulfilling. Here you had no one helping except for a tiny bit of Loretta Young, but there was little she could do to save this mediocre. Box office flop too.
