FPJ's Batang Quiapo (1986) really becomes Maricel Soriano's film. She, as a fellow Quiapo pick-pocket, was full of life, and it becomes FPJ's job to tone her down. Didn't feel it had that much to offer outside of Soriano's spunk, but it's worth it for her alone. Incidentally FPJ's daughter Lovi Poe plays her part in the 2023 TV-series based on this film.
