A wholesome watch for the whole family.

Kind of impressive to look back and see how much ground they covered in 3 movies. The series followed a very similar path as the Evil Deads, but somehow even cheaper and goofier.

More like comedy than serious horror, but, considering the material and the director, that seems perfectly appropriate. So funny and completely off-the-chart weird that it's a minor delight

The second movie was already a small step down from the first one, but still had a dark fairy tale charm with all the different strange side characters. All those characters return for this and still give the movie a charm. But they also take up more of the plot, making the plot unfocused. All with all I wasn't engaged in this.

The weakest of the trilogy, but has the best gore scene when Belial pulls a Terminator in that police station.

Whoever looked at what they had here and said "let's just lean in to the batshit insanity" gets a gold star – by all objective measures this is a hot mess trainwreck, but it's so odd and strange, (and give Ross a fucking Oscar for attempting a straight faced performance while also doing a freaks musical number), that it achieves a one-of-a-kind, unequalled magnificence. That clown car childbirth scene alone… Ambivalent score reflects my ambivalent feelings about this strange thing!

They decided to go the comedy-insanity route with this one and forgot to add a minimum story. At times feels like a parody of the first two.

More of the same, only worse. Henenlotter regrets making it, and it's easy to see why. It's just a goofy parade of rubber monsters that becomes increasingly silly as it progresses. The creature designs are quite inventive at times, but they are all dressed up with nowhere to go. Basket Case was never meant to be a franchise, and Henenlotter should have stopped after the first one.

One of the best third movies in a horror trilogy. Gabe Bartalos just kept stepping it up with his effects. And the musical number is one of the best in film history.!

As usual with Henenlotter, the body horror on display is beautifully disgusting and the monsters inventively designed, however, the film itself is just too goofy and disjointed to compete with its predecessers.
