Baroud

The English language version of Baroud (1933) is a little quirky and kind of goes all directions in it's exotic soft cover trash literature style. What this is best known for is being Rex Ingram's last film and only talkie. Not only did he direct it with the help of his wife Alice Terry, he also did a rare acting gig, taking the English lead role and comes off rather elegant. Still it became a rather cheesy romantic film, trying to man-it-up with desert battles, without that helping much.
