Barefoot

Just a terrible remake of a German movie, which after seeing this crap with crap acting seems like masterpiece in comparison.

The early movie tries REAL hard to underscore "Jay (Boy X) is a bad boy, he gambles, womanizes, drinks and is in trouble with the mob", and you know exactly what his arc is going to be: "Jay meets Daisy (Good Girl Y) who helps him become Good Boy Z". But Jay plays far too much "cockbag" rather than "redeemable black sheep" for that to work. Not to mention the dialogue is really bad, as are the flick's first plot devices. ERW is pretty good despite this. Did a professional write this? Ouch. Skip.

Very cute and I actually enjoyed it ....untill the last 15 minutes of "cheasy". *Recommendable

I liked this movie. I feit there was something there between the lead characters. Wood is absolutely convincing and she surprised me for sure. Barefoot is a weird story but it also is entertaining. 56/100.

Well cast and well-acted. The story falls for some 2010s tropes, though, and there was one distracting loose end. Great if you're an Evan Rachel Wood fan, and would probably be really fun back-to-back with Kajillionaire.

good watch, definitely too short sadly
