A cute and touching little comedy.

Plenty of films use music to discuss topics such as love, loss, and how hard it is to be married, but few do it with two leads with such great chemistry. Band Aid is laugh at loud funny and also heartbreakingly real. As a John Carney fan I am probably biased, but I loved it.

Lister-Jones and Pally deliver surprising strong dramatic performances for two comedic actors. The premise of dealing with martial grief through singing hate songs is fairly novel, and the songs are pretty funny. This humorous tone disappears in the second half of the film, where it shifts into its drama gear. The film never really blends the two genres, but is nevertheless an interesting watch. Lister-Jones shows real promise as a creator.
