Bambi II

Well damn, i actually thought this was quite fine when it comes to straight-to dvd disney sequels (maybe even the best one). The music was pretty annoying tho. But yeah,,,, it's fine, colour me surprised.

Harmless, disposable, forgettable but thankfully not too terrible. Expect for the truly painful songs.

As sequels go, not the worst, but I don't really feel that's necessary to build on the character of Bambi. It feels like filler, and even Patrick Stewart can't change my mind about that.

Yeah some charming and heartwarming moment save the day but teenage Bambi is pretty annoying .

Thematically, in addition to modeling kindness and courage for little ones, the film does a terrific job of stressing a boy's need for his father. The opening scene isn't afraid to put a finger in the chest of the workaholic, emotionally detached dad who considers raising a child woman's work. The rest of the tale wraps an enabling arm around that same viewer's shoulders, gently presenting the benefits (for him and for his kids) of being intimately engaged in a child's life. It's really not that bad!

It's almost impossible to believe, that something so straightforward cheesy could be made in this day and age. The movie is beyond simple, my guess would be Disney wanted to make something for the youngest audiences. Animation looks very dated. Some unbearable songs.

It ruins the incredible gorgeous beauty of Bambi with modern animation styles opposed to the beautiful old style.

Much much better than anyone would expect.

This may be surprising, but I think that this direct-to-video Disney sequal/midqual is actually worth the watch, it may not be as emotionally powerful as the prequal, but good animation and voice cast makes this one pretty good overall, but in terms of Disney sequals,this one is almost perfect.

It's not terrible (which, I guess, is notable for a Disney sequel) but is pretty saccharine.
