A bit too fragmented for me to fully appreciate or get a good feel of what Mauritz Stiller's Balettprimadonnan [Anjala the Dancer] (1916) had to offer. What exists is a 20 minute restoration. That includes explanations, still photographs and what random clip that hasn't been destroyed in the past 100 years. Does look like a solid melodrama with Lars Hanson & Jenny Hasselqvist looking good in their parts. Too bad not more of the film exists.
