Bai mao nu

Singing is not my favorite way of storytelling, but a few scenes here enhanced this in a good way. At the same time there was quite a few songs that didn't. Especially during the build-up, which made it a up-hill battle for me. It's a positive story where the right morals prevails in the end, and you do feel for the poor girl and what she had to endure before her big moment. I feel a lot could have made it a easier film to digest, but in the end this age-old Chinese folklore did shine through.
