I always thought bad moms were the ones that drowned their kids in the tub, or drove their kids into a lake. Apparently they just have catty brunches, cause mild scenes at the grocery store, and bring forbidden (!) foods to bake sales. I was grossly mistaken. (PS: There's this part where Mila Mom drops off her kids to school and gives them their BAD MOM lunch: Arby's. The kids act surprised. "YOU IDIOTS WERE IN THE CAR WHEN SHE GOT ARBYS YOU IDIOTS WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE WAS DOING"

As our nation shifts from the single-income nuclear family dynamic that made picket-fence 1950s America great (again), and slowly transforms into a Godless bouncy castle where unwed slatterns are allowed to drink alcohol and drive cars, remember that your 8-year old daughter will soon have un-ironic cancer because of all the nitrites in that Arby's sandwich you gave her. Looks like the penis joke is on you, bad mom.

These moms weren't that bad really, I thought this movie would have like babies addicted to alcohol through breast milk and teenagers shooting people in the streets

I suppose this is humorous if you think being around awful middle aged cunts is a hilarious and good time. The only remotely funny character might be Christina Applegate. Kunis looks like she was sleep walking through this role. I dont remember the names of the other try hard cast were they SNL alumni or something? Who knows and who cares.

Usual post-Apatow party comedy where adults behave like teens -- they have responsibilities, but wanna have tons of fun too. Kathryn steals the show with her overacting as this quasi-lesbian and horny mom, as the scriptgoes from "flawed moms embracing themselves" to "you can party and raise kids as long as you are rich". All the good jokes are in the first half. The rest is lame. Best scene is the post-credits one where Christina tells her mom took her to see Cruising when she was a kid.

Bad Moms has a few funny moments, a few sweet moments, and a lot of bad writing. Hahn and Kunis deliver good performances, especially considering the material they're working with is pretty clichéd. The plot has less realism than most sci-fi flicks and its feel-good, everything-works-out ending isn't earned. Each scene seems to be punctuated by a pop-rock song that will be dated soon after the film is released on Blu-Ray. It's fluff, though it never surpasses mediocrity.

Comedy made by people who don't care about consistent editing within a scene, much less across a narrative. Sloppy as can be. They try to have both a plot and a message, but lose both in favor of "comedy" scenes that are either musical montages or improv bits that go on way too long. Anyone who opposes the titular characters is portrayed as pure evil. So much is ignored (Bell's horrific homelife is only a punchline) or skipped over (Kunis's kids only react to her when the film has time for it).

Is there an official BCU (Bad Cinematic Universe) that I'm unaware of? Bad Neighbors, Bad Grandpa, Bad Trip and now Bad Moms, and they all feel quite similar. Are they connected? Am I insane for typing these words? Kathryn Hahn (seriously? That's how you spell your name) is the best part of this movie

I don't know, I guess it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. It's just entirely too predictable and uninteresting. These movies are safe so they'll always get made, but they break no boundaries.

Charming and disarming comedy gets much of its mileage from a first-rate, highly charismatic cast; Kunis is an extremely likable lead, Hahn is the perfect blowsy floozy, and Applegate (never better) makes for a terrifically entertaining bitchy villain. The writing is occasionally derivative and repetitive, but the lines and situations which hit are bullseyes, and stem from genuine honesty and truth, which ultimately makes this a winner. Bonus points for the very sweet end-credits scene.

It can't break out of its thin and formulaic plot, fairly horrible script and caricature-style character development (seriously Pinkett-Smith is just nothing in this bar a few sassy stares and bland one-liners) meaning this is destined for mediocrity.

The chemistry between the main trio is admirable, and the over-demanding school was downright hilarious. However, the infantile husband is a complete waste of time and should've been left out, and the lengthy scenes of partying and trying to get laid also weren't particularly engaging. The movie starts out very strong, with many funny scenes and believable characters, but both the comedy and the drama end up being predictable and cheesy, with an ending that ties everything in a nice little bow.

Bad Moms is the type of inconsequential comedy that you wish was better than it winds up being. It has a solid premise and the cast to pull it off, but simply isn't funny enough to be worth going to see. With that said, comedy is the most subjective of genres, and if you like the work of Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, then you're probably going to have a good enough time with Bad Moms.

A safe comedy that's mostly lowbrow humor with little substance. Often times the jokes are just "lol, I'm old and like cock and alcohol!" Which gets tiring pretty quickly, especially given how formulaic the plot is. The morality of the movie is also non-sensical - at what point do we have any reason to believe these women are bad mothers? They're crude and idiotic to be sure, but at no point do they treat their kids poorly. It's also hard to take this message seriously given the film's hyperbole

Basically a very long add for vasectomies, with some okay gags once in a while. Also, I'm your internet-mom and I'm here to tell you that sexual harassment does not get funny or okay just because it's women doing it.

I watched this is a state of absolute inertia, my experience was neither positive nor negative - just neutral. The cast are fine, but it just seems like nothing happens for ages, and when it does it feels like I've seen it before. Probably gets by on the charms of the likeable cast, and the post-credit sequence was nice.

Bad Moms fails to make anything on the very interesting premise. It hinges entirely on the three main actresses. All of whom made me laugh just enough to have a good time. And anytime Kathryn Hahn gets a chance to shine is well worth checking out.

Just ignore the plot, it's nothing more than a vehicle to let some time elapse and it doesn't make much sense, and it has some decent laughs here and there. The three main actors share great chemistry so it's good to just watch them go at it, but Jada Pinkett Smith is criminally underutilised. Having said all this, I'm biased when it comes to Mila Kunis, so the score could have been a lot worse.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. While the jokes are very 50/50, Kunis, Hahn and Appelgate particularly are standouts in the cast. It does carry a predictable story line, but it does carry a meaningful point not to just moms, but women in general. If you like these actresses or can relate to the premise, this is something you can enjoy, but if not, it is more of the same thing you probably seen before.

These are fun people to watch, and about half the jokes land well. The others just fall flat, the plot zigs when its supposed to zig, and zags when its supposed to zag, to the point that everything just feels like a connect-the-dots picture. No one seems to be having fun while pretending to be having fun..

It tried to tow a fine line between party humour and deeply emotional and it failed when you stopped caring for the lead characters because they were just unbelievable in so many ways. It is okay to have friends and drink, but its not okay to sensationalize it like Hollywood films do. Dont wait around for the big emotional break through. It just never happens. Just a boring film.

It's more or less what you expect, though perhaps a little more vulgar than I anticipated (which is not a bad thing). I generally love Bell, but didn't think she cut it for this character. Otherwise, Kunis, Hahn, and Applegate were all good. They also wisely spent very little time with the actual children of these bad moms. In the end, it's good for some cheap laughs and some solid laughs. I imagine new moms would really enjoy this, too.

It's such a cliché to say that parenthood is the most important job we'll ever have. But there's truth in that statement. And as such, it's important to take the job seriously. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't cut ourselves some slack. We all mess up: As a dad, I've messed up plenty. But the point isn't to simply say, "Well, hey, if we're gonna mess up, I guess it doesn't matter." The point is to forgive ourselves , get over it and get up and try again tomorrow. (pluggedin.com)

There are some funny moments in this movie. However the script needs a rewrite, the final third of the film seems tacked on and some characters do things that don't make any sense. The actors do a good job with the material they are given but the script ultimately lets them down.
