Adkins is good at beating the shit out of people. I still can't believe the dumb title of this movie is a real word.

Scott Adkins kicks and punches his way through dozens and dozens of inmates on his way to the final showdown in a pub. The action is, of course, great, while the story is of little consequence. That final brawl is something worth seeing as I think I felt winded after just watching it.

Kind of Adkin's Brawl in Cell Block. Psycho goes to a pub and recollects, in front of his old brother, exactly what brought him there, from a simple low-life to a killing machine in his time in prison -- his bro put him there and actually made bets for men to kill him. Beautiful brutality -- also verbally and way better than your usual Guy Ritchie mob stuff -- a real acting challenge for Adkins, here living a violent man trying to redeem himself by helping the families his brother destroyed.

Fairly decent revenge movie. The main character can be a bit corny at times. The action scenes aren't as creative as one would expect in a film like this. Certainly good enough for a casual watchparty.

I don't think the blood and violence were over the top, but the fight scenes had too many cuts. It doesn't look frantic or fast when you do that, just fake and dumb. You re-key my brain to pay attention with the cut, the next few frames are jarring, but remove the soul from it. That many cuts in a fight scene means your fight scene is boring. That final show down? There's more than 2 cuts per second. Rediculous.

With a title like that I didn't expect to find anything in the movie compelling, but it was surprisingly decent. The fight scenes obviously keep the momentum going and are frankly not too great but not that bad. The story is just interesting enough, mostly thanks to a fairly executed framing device. Really lacked in the suspenseful areas a movie like this could have thrived in; his prison attacks become repetitive and the final scene could have been way more impactful, but overall it's ok.

JVJ's best so far by a long shot. Excited to watch his career continue, especially as he refines his style outside of the fight scenes and gets his hands on larger budgets. It's got a good script with a great lead character played to perfection by an ever excellent Scott Adkins. Strong choreography with a notable emphasis on balls-out brutality.

This is an extremely brutal, very efficient action film from stunt man turned low budget action director Jesse V. Johnson. It's not a film with fancy fight choreography ... it's tough, simple and brutal, and not going to be to everyone's tastes. I liked it, but I like that sort of thing.

British crime movies have this intangible "realness" quality to them; the violence is not a diluted, packaged thing, you really feel the bones breaking, the teeth falling. The way the story is constructed was very well also; they should have left the long martial art scenes to Japanese and Chinese, they were a bit out of place; but overall it was an enjoyable movie. Adkins with his fake metal teeth was "piss your pants if you see him in an alley" creepy and scary by the way.

This is a fun quirky little film. Its a brutal martial arts revenge film that has an early Guy Richie feel to it. Scott Adkins was a lot of fun in his role and brought his fighting A-game.
